Bernina Express
Experience one of the most spectacular ways to cross the Alps - the Bernina Express from Chur - Valposchiavo - Tirano provides a direct link between regions with widely differing languages and cultures - without the use of cogwheels!
This stretch of railway blends harmoniously into the stunning Albula and Bernina mountain scenery. The train masters 55 tunnels, 196 bridges and climbs of up to 70 per mille without difficulty. The Ospizio Bernina, at an altitude of 2,253 metres, marks the highest point of the Rhaetic Railway network.
Boat trip around Bregenzer Bay
Enjoy a one-hour boat trip around Bregenz Bay, passing the Bregenz Festival Hall, Hard, the Rhine dam, the island of Lindau, Lochau and back to Bregenz harbour. Commentary provided; refreshments available on board!
